Notes from the editor
The days are marching on, now mid way through March and finaly it feels like the back of winter has been broken; as the days get longer and the first traces of warmth can be felt in the sunshine.
Soon the yachts will be craned back into their natuaral domain, to once again move to the natural rhythm of the seas, to have the wind fill their sails and the smile grow on the skipper with their hand once more on the tiller.
With any luck, the season ahead will be a fine one hopefully with agreeable tides and kind winds (and with any luck the number of times out sailing being in the double figures!!) But for now, we must be content with getting the list of jobs to be done all ticked off; one by one.
Whats been happening in the club?
- The club is now fully affiliated with the RYA and soon to be a shore based training centre; more information regarding courses and dates to follow.
- The wii sports night went well, reports that everyone had a fun evening and deemed a general success and the new projector was given a sucsessfull test run.
- Ladies night held on the 28th Feb was up on numbers at 7 ladies!! Lets see if we can get more at the next one!
